top dyestuff exporters from India. From meagre exports worth
Rs 32 lakh in 1976, MetroChem has steadily stepped up its
export performance to 70% of its turnover of Rs 155 crore
in 1999-00.
R&D
at Kroma Labs enables MetroChem to sustain and enhance its
reputation for quality products. Kroma Labs has developed
products like FC Acid, Acid Black 210, Reactive Yellow 37,
Reactive Blue R (Special), VS Pyrazolone and VS Meta base,
for the first time. Besides, Kroma Labs has initiated processes
based on ultra-filtration for salt-free dyes suitable for
making high-concentration liquids.
